Parc Crossings’ first Town Hall meeting in September was well attended with over 25 people. Sandwiches from the Crossings Café and other snacks were enjoyed. A special thanks to Ken Plough, our newest Board member, who donated fine wines to add to the festivities. Following are some of the valuable suggestions that came out of the meeting that Tri-State and Board will be addressing in the near future: Builder Issues - Cracks in cement
- Moisture in G-2
Action -- Tri-State has obtained bids for this work to be done. The Board will decide on which company to perform the work at the next meeting in October. Landscaping - Grass in new area over-watered
- Shrubs and flowers in courtyard overgrown
Action – The Landscape Committee will meet with the property manager and gardener to address these issues and prepare for fall planting. Miscellaneous - Post signs indicating that the new park area is for Parc Crossings residents only (This is in response to complaints about people from the office building coming over to smoke in our lovely area.)
- Some residents and non-residents are using the new park area as a dog park and are not obeying the leash law and common courtesy.
- Some parents do not adequately monitor their children in terms of noise level, leaving toys out and defacing property (mainly chalk).
- Obtain more recycling containers or recycling dumpsters and identify space to put them.
- Lack of responsiveness to individual issues.
- Intermittent Direct TV cable service.
Action – These items will be discussed at subsequent Board meetings. Other suggestions around power washing, window washing, tree trimming, etc. will be addressed when it’s time for the next service is performed. There were some positive comments as well. Generally, residents seemed pleased with the following: - Efficiency of the hose replacement/door painting project
- Improvements in landscaping; attractiveness of the new park
- Beautiful urns and benches
- Crown molding
- Fiscal stability
- No hot water outages lately
- Improvement in security – no major instances since building the new fence and installing better lighting
The next Town Hall meeting will be in January. Together, we’ll continue making improvements in our quality of life and in our property values here at Parc Crossings.
